Engine ECU Tuning for Economy and/or performance. Achieved by adjusting the parameters that manufacturers place on our engines, taking into account the many variables around the world - Poor Fuels/Servicing, Altitude, Temperatures/Climate differences and general abuse. We simply free up the engine for efficiency. Many Engines these days are modular i.e. different bhp variants are identical only governed by software enabling us to develop within safe limits to increase from one variant to the other and in most cases, even further. Torque limiters are also lifted to produce better low down torque thus better throttle response and improved Fuel Economy (5-25%) dependent on driving style. We also specialize in Fleets where limiting the Engine Revs and Vehicle Speed almost guarantee's fuel economy amongst other savings (Driver style/tyres, Brakes, Service Items and Service Intervals).

It was booked in for tomorrow, but unfortunately my plans were changed at the last minute and Simon moved things around to get my car done this afternoon. ""Just to let you know that my initial feeling is that the update is good. The car feels livelier and if anything smoother to drive. Certainly if I press the peddle it goes like a rocket but even in slow traffic (and there has been some of that on the M27 the last few days) things seem smoother. No news on consumption yet but overall I am please so far. I will see what happens towing the trailer next week although I am not expecting miracles on the fuel ;)
I will let you know how things go……(update - I never got it past 39.8mpg before the remap so I thought you might like to know I now have 44.6 ;-)) Thanks & Cheers""
